You saw a new name in someone's comments and wonder when they connected. A recent-follow report shows which accounts a public profile added during each week or month.

When a creator you work with starts following a competitor, you want to know early. Weekly reports list every recent follow of the accounts you track.

Follow patterns show how communities form and change. Reports can be downloaded as .csv files for your own analysis.
"Recent follow" can mean two different things. It can mean the accounts a person recently started following, or the people who recently started following them. This page is about the first meaning.
Instagram used to show other people's follows in the Following Activity tab. That tab was removed in 2019. Today you can open a public account's Following list, but its order is not strictly by time, and nothing marks what is new. There is no built-in way to see what someone followed this week.
Recent Follow is also the name of a separate app. This page explains the term and how Snoopreport reports recent follows.

Type the username of any public Instagram account; your Instagram login is not needed.
From that day on, we save the account's public likes, follows and unfollows.
Weekly and monthly reports in your dashboard show everything that changed during that period.
Why not just check Instagram? Instagram removed the Following Activity tab in 2019. Today the app shows no record of recent follows or the posts someone liked. A Snoopreport tracker keeps that record for you.

Snoopreport tracks the actions of the account you add: who it follows and unfollows. It does not list that account's followers.

It’s an awesome tool that lets you track likes and follows on any public profile. It’s basically a feature that was on IG before 2019, but in the form of handy reports. The only catch is that you have to wait about a week for the reports to be generated. Alternatively, you can pay a few bucks and get the retrospective data immediately

I’ve been using it for a few months to track some competitors of my business, and it works really well for this. Tracking them gave me a lot of insights into how to manage my business Instagram profile. Also, being able to get past activity reports helped a lot, since I didn’t have to wait for the activity to happen.

This is the perfect tool for keeping up with what my favorite celebrities do on Instagram. I love being able to see what posts they like, who they follow, and how their interests change over time. I tested a couple other trackers, but Snoopreport was the most complete. Highly recommend if you’re curious about your favorite public figures!

Yes, for public accounts. Instagram does not show them in the app, but once you add an account to Snoopreport, each report lists the accounts it followed since the previous report.
No. The list is not sorted strictly by date, so the first account you see is not always the newest follow.
It depends. Reports don't show the exact day of each follow. They show every follow that happened within the report's period, a week or a month, starting from the day you add the account.
